How to read the lineup
The useful part is the difference from what you have set now. Players the optimizer would start who are currently benched are marked SWAP IN; starters it would bench are marked SITTING. If nothing is marked, your lineup is already optimal.
A player whose game has kicked off is locked and listed separately — his points are banked, so the lineup above covers only who is left to play.
Kickers and defenses are projected from the game line rather than player props, which no book posts for them. A team’s implied points come from the spread and total; for a defense that drives the points-allowed buckets, and sacks and takeaways scale with how big a favourite it is. Your league’s own D/ST and kicker scoring is applied.
Best available reads every roster in the league, so whoever is left over is a free agent. They are ranked by the upgrade they would add to your optimal lineup, not by raw points — an unrostered QB tops any points list while being worthless to a team that already starts one. Kickers and defenses are capped at two each, since they cluster within a point or two and would otherwise crowd out real pickups.
